Changzhou Institute of Materia Medica Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing and application. It is the earliest scientific research institution specializing in the research of medical sodium hyaluronate in the country. The predecessor was the provincial state-owned scientific research founded in 1984. The unit, completed the restructuring in November 2010. The company has built a modern new factory with a total area of 30,000 square meters, of which the GMP standard purification workshop (cleaning level: Class 10,000 + 100) covers an area of 12,000 square meters, and the R&D center has an area of more than 3,000 square meters.

The company attaches great importance to scientific and technological research and development, technical cooperation, intellectual property protection and other work. The company and the Institute of Natural and Medical Sciences (NMI) of the University of Tubingen in Germany jointly established a collagen product laboratory, and launched a joint development of spider silk protein products with the School of Materials of Tsinghua University, and signed agreements with Jiangnan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Changzhou University, etc. Cooperation agreement to jointly develop pharmaceutical products. The company currently has 43 authorized patents, including 16 invention patents and 10 utility model patents; 17 copyrights have been registered.

The main business direction of the company is medical equipment, medical materials and medical skin care products. Product categories include: surgery, ophthalmology, medical beauty, skin care products, etc. Three major product series have been formed, mainly including Yishukang®, Bicuishi® and Mishuizhiting®.
